Use MTG slang freely
Community jargon works here. Try wheel effect, pillowfort enchantment, token doubler, pinger, or aristocrats sacrifice payoff.
Describe what the card looks like
Search by art. Dragon breathing fire over a castle or shadowy figure in dark cloak will find cards by their illustration using natural language. You can also search by art color: red art, blue palette, golden artwork.
Search by set theme and world flavor
Describe the vibe of a plane or setting. Wild west outlaws and showdowns finds Thunder Junction cards. Gothic horror vampires finds Innistrad. No set codes needed.
Layer constraints in plain English
Combine color, cost, type, and mechanics naturally. Four mana white board wipe, one mana 1/1 flying creature in blue, or common green mana dorks work without learning any search syntax.
Filter by format and rarity
Add a format or rarity to any search and results will be filtered automatically. Modern red burn spells, mythic red dragons, rare blue counterspells, or pauper mana dorks. Formats like standard, modern, legacy, pioneer, pauper, and commander all work.
What this won't do
This searches cards by what they are, not by competitive metagame or market data. Queries like "best cards in Jund" or "cheapest red burn spell" won't work here. For decklists use MTGGoldfish, for prices use TCGplayer, and for exact oracle text search use Scryfall.
